Living the Suite Life in 100 Ways: Movies, Friends and Stripes
Completed#78: See a movie in the theatre with a girlfriend.
I was lucky enough to catch a movie with my girlfirend Netta from Austin on vacation. We snuck away for a fabulous day of movies and shopping and were not disappointed. We were hoping to catch a chic flick on $5 Tuesday at the new, great Rave movie theatre in Las Vegas, which is a huge saving because generally the movies in Vegas start at $15. Th we caught Batman and I have to say tha "It Rocked."

Living the Suite Life in 100 Ways: Sassy Cut & Color
Trend Report: Colorful Blazer
Summer Trend:
Colorful Blazer
One of the hottest trends in the workplace or on the streets is the colorful blazer. Pick one that adds interest to any outfit. Go ahead try something different and pair a bold colored blazer with your favorite career smart outfit for maximum impact or just by pairing it with simple pieces you can create an eye cathing look. If you are feeling a bit bolder, mix and match it with other colorful pieces. You can wear these colorful and versatile piece with jeans, short dresses, capris and even shorts.
Bright Now
Bright colored pieces are a must have for the season. They make you feel fun and they right on trend. It is the summer and it is time to be silly! Take a risk the season and mix and match your colored pieces like never before. Break out those bright jeans and pair them with a bright or printed top. If you make a fashion funny, just blame it on heat, because summer makes you do amazingly crazy things. I just had to pair this outfit with my sunnies because this bright outfit paired with my bright pink lipstick was a blinding and fashion forward selection for me, but I loved it. I challenge you to break out your comfort zone and pair a few colorful pieces together and rock them like never before.
Trend: Stripes & Khaki
The idea of sailor stripes and khaki is a classic combination. As you can see in this picture for Harper's Bazaar, you can dress it up or down. I love how they made this dress more work appropriate by adding the stripes.
Gingham Glam
Just Ducky for Dots
I am going ducky for dots this season, literally. You can wear them so many ways. If you are into dots but are afraid that they are overwhelming, try layering them. Here is me on a rainy day rocking my chartreuse sweater that I picked up from trunk sale in New York over a little black and beige polka dot top. As a bonus, one of the teens in my daughters teen group brought in her newly hatched little ducklings on the same day I wore this sweater. So of course I had to share a pic of these fuzzy little cuties. So it is your turn to go ducky with dots.
100 Suite Ways to Live Life: Documentary #1 Push Girls
Partially Completed #62: Watched 1 out of 3 documentaries.
Partially Completed #62: Watch 3 documentaries 1 out of 3. As one of my 100 Suite Ways to Live Life, I promised to watch 3 documentaries before the end of the year. So I happily watched my first documentary. It was the cool and from the new documentary series called Push Girls. It follows couple of hip girls who had great lives before being paralyzed and the series continues to follow them as they live great lives after. These fun ladies rise to the challenge of living life to the fullest in their wheel chairs. They go dancing and to the gym more than I do. I mean these chicks rock, Suite!

Sporty Stripe
I am feeling like Sporty Spice in this Ann Taylor dress that I picked up from Ross. The spring/summer runways were full of sport inspired details like the stripe down the side of my dress and wetsuit inspired pieces, so when I found this one it was over. I was in love! I was happy to see this trend arrive and I hope it stays around for awhile. How will you show your sporty style this season?
White Out Part 2
The summer is here and just like in last years post the white in my closet is calling again for me to let it loose. So I went to my closet and pulled out this white linen dress and paired it with one of my spring cardigans from Target. I love a good cardigan, it is such a versatile piece. No matter what the occasion, you can wear it in a way that will work for you. Here I am wearing mt cardigan in 3 different ways on the same day. I wore it buttoned up to keep me warm at work, I tied it up for youth group with the sleeves up to beat the heat and then when it got to hot, I wore it over my shoulders for some last minute shopping. How will you wear your white out this summer?
