Blue + Black & White Graphic Print for Date Night
Graphic prints are all the rage this season. Their bold colors and contrast seemed perfect for my hot date with my husband. We just had our 16th anniversary and I am excited to say we are still going strong! I picked up this little JAYE E Graphic print summer blazer at the Loehmann's going out of business sale in my area and it was the perfect replacement for my normal blazer. How are you wearing graphic print this season?

Look One Look Two
Have you ever had to have an outfit pull double duty? Well I have! Remember this sporty dress from this post? This is baseball season and on a good day right after work in DC, you can catch a ride to a Nationals game on the Metro. So I took my spring sporty dress, added this great scarf from Daysprings that I got a gift from one of my good friends and the best selling author of Surprised by Motherhood, Lisa-Jo Baker. I paired them with some sneaker and there I am ready for the big ball game! This look would be just as good to meet up with your friends at the park or run some errands. So find a sporty dress and rock it for all its worth this season. Where would you wear this sporty look?

Mixing Prints: Stripes and Floral
Funny story about this shirt, I bought it last year for my husband at Old Navy and he thought it the fit to tight however the morning after I need something to wear to the store so I threw on this shirt and the rest is history. There is something about wearing an man shirt that is nostalgic. Anyway, this spring I find myself mixing it with about every thing because of its subtle blue pinstripe pattern. Here I styled it with a floral J-Crew Pencil skirt. Mixing prints can be easy if you keep a few things in mind:
- Find a matching color- Find a color the is both pieces. In my case there was blue in my shirt and my floral shirt.
- Pick a theme- I went for everything spring to show off my floral skirt but it doesn't matter if it is a single color, boho or nautical, picking prints with similar theme can cohesively tie a look together.
- Keep the accessorizes subtle- I went for some sparkle around my neck to play of the casualness of my top but I kept the color neutral. adding a neutral shoe really adds to the look with out stealing the show.
