Michelle Mondays: Multicolored Moments
Michelle Obama astonishes again in this Naeem Khan printed multi colored dress for the 2012 White House Correspondents’ Dinner held at the Washington Hilton in Washington DC recently. I can't wait until it gets warm enough to wear my printed dress. If you have one, pull it out of storage. I am hoping for a bright, sunshiny day to wear it.
Print Mixologist
As you can see I am continuing my obsession with print and I am feeding it by becoming a mixologist. I have mixed my printed gift from my grandma with my vintage 1960's dress from Dusty Buttons. Fell free to mix your prints, even if their not vintage. This is the time to get frisky with fabric and design. It is true that they just don't make dresses like this anymore but I am glad they are trying this season. Check out your local vendors to find a dress that takes you back in time.

Spring Stripes With Fall Boots
I have spring on my mind but there is fall in the air. Between the rain and the cold I have had to pull back out my tights and boots but thats ok, my striped shirt from H&M livened up this look. I totally can't lie, I did want to put these banging boots away yet anyway. I am out stopping puddles with these babies. Oh yeah! How are you staying warm but on trend this chilly spring?

Head-To-Toe-Print
Cynthia Rowley, Derek Lam, Altuzarra, spring 2012
There are prints, and then there are PRINTS and this is the season to mix and match them. So how are women styling in head-to-toe patterns like the models that sashayed down the spring 2012 runways. They are being bold and pulling their oversize florals, mirrorlike geometric shapes, even bird prints—and strutting their stuff. Here is my friend Trutty showing us how to pull off this trend in everyday life with style. So ladies, have fun with your clothes and be Printastic!
Nail Talk: Pastel Glam
Lets take our nails into the spring with us by going Pastel Glam. Put you favorite everyday color on an then layer on the hottest color of the season. This season it is mint or a pastel of some sort like sea foam. Glam it them up with a gilded strip and call it a day! Or if you are ready for the stripe effect then go minty fresh and paint your whole nail the same color. It will go with everything, so glam it up!

What 2 Wear: to a Carnival
Attention carnival goers: If you are trying to look cool with out losing your funnel cake this one is for you. A few weekends ago we attending the traveling carnival at night with my son. Great carni food, bright lights, fast rides and fun! How can it go wrong? Possibly by wearing the wrong outfit, so while attending a carnival remember this:
Dress In Layers- Whether night or day you will be there for a while and you never know how hot or in my case how cold it will get by time you go home. You don't want to ruin all of your pics because your teeth are chattering. If it is warm, take a note from Pink, she has a great warm weather formula.
Dress Relaxed For The Occasion- You don't want to become the carnival attraction because you are way over dressed, even if you are on a date. There is a way to look sexy and comfortable. I say stay away from hats and skirts. Some of the rides flip you over and you don't want your underpinnings to the be YouTube's #1 video.
Wear Cute But Practical Footwear- Don't forget you will be on your feet the whole time, eating in line with nowhere to rest your feet. So if you want to look cute, opt for a comfortable wedge like J-Lo. Stay away from flip flops unless you want to walk home barefoot. The rides will just throw those puppies to the wind.
Stay trendy and warm like Pink, me and my son Jalen, by bringing a warm but cool jacket that you plan on wearing the entire time. I opted for a Sophia Vargas jacket from Kmart but Jay opted for a Old Navy vest and sweater, both options worked great as we continued to have fun until later in the evening. My son got to stay up late and we had a blast! I hope you stay comfortable and have a great time!
There's No Sucker Here
I love a great deal and I know I got one when I picked up this seersucker suit from K& G. I have always wanted to get a seersucker outfit but many of the suits that I have previously tried on, often wrinkled too much for my lifestyle or liking. However when I saw this seersucker suit by Evan Picone, I knew I had found the right one for me. The fabric has a nice weight to it that keeps it from wrinkling. Yeah me! What suit piece, style or fabric would you like to try this spring?
