Summer Saturdays and Sundays mean comfy sandals, flowy summer dresses, cross body purses or double handled totes and jean jackets. There is nothing like grabbing a cup of Joe and scooting of to the farmers market to grab the freshest local ingredients.  I like to head out the one at the Springfield Town-center or if I have to get my son's haircut I will take a nice drive down to Del Ray's Farmers Market and do some mommy multi-tasking.  One of my favorite things to do there is to pick a new local vendor and try a new product.   Grab you biggest tote and fill it with peonies, Amish turkey legs and summer squash.   Recently, I got a turkey leg as big as my head and it tasted so fresh I could almost taste the grass. Yummo!  While you are at it don't forget the sunscreen or a cool fedora to protect your skin from the outdoor elements.  On a nice day you could find me out there swaying to the beat and tasting the flavors of the area.

What items do bring when preparing for a farmers market outing?
