Funny story about this shirt, I bought it last year for my husband at Old Navy and he thought it the fit to tight however the morning after I need something to wear to the store so I threw on this shirt and the rest is history. There is something about wearing an man shirt that is nostalgic.  Anyway, this spring I find myself mixing it with about every thing because of its subtle blue pinstripe pattern. Here I styled it with a floral J-Crew Pencil skirt. Mixing prints can be easy if you keep a few things in mind:
  • Find a matching color- Find a color the is both pieces.  In my case there was blue in my shirt and my floral shirt.
  • Pick a theme- I went for everything spring to show off my floral skirt but it doesn't matter if it is a single color, boho or nautical, picking prints with similar theme can cohesively tie a look together.
  • Keep the accessorizes subtle- I went for some sparkle around my neck to play of the casualness of my top but I kept the color neutral. adding a neutral shoe really adds to the look with out stealing the show.
