Go Bold Boho Chic at Work
I would definitely say that my fashion style is on the bohemian chic side. I like bold prints, layers, fabulousity and comfort. So if you are feeling a little boho like me than swap you regular work dress with a career smart one that has a bold print! I picked up this Anne Klein shift from Marshalls and I am so happy I did. The modest neckline and shape will make this a timeless piece with a unique feel. What makes you feel unique?
3 Fashion Tips for a Memorial Day Weekend Barbecue
Summer is right around the corner and there is no better way then to kick the season off then with a barbecue. So if you have plans to attend a barbecue this Memorial day weekend then remember these three tips:
- Opt for something that is comfortable- You maybe on a road trip, going to the pool or hanging out in the backyard eating a burger so make sure you outfit can hang with your big plans.
- Wear shoes made for walking- I opted for flats just in case we go for a walk, play a game of corn-hole or horse shoes. If you opt for flats, don't go the boring route. Make sure they have some spunk like these bedazzled flats. Trying to get some height, opt for wedges and keep your toes above the grass.
- Give yourself some breathing room- The barbecue will be at its best so you should dress in a way that you will be comfortable eating anything you want. Opting for a cotton top or dress will allow for a expansion in the waist and will keep you cool depending on the weather. Check out the steal I found below. This Jones of New York top was only $16 at Ross. Why purchase this luxurious one from Burberry for $648 when you can get the same style for less. Check out this striped t-shirt form Macy's for $14.

Prepping for Spring in Professional Plaid
Have you ever woken up on a Monday and not wanted the weekend to end? Well bring your weekend style into the work with you. Just grab your favorite plaid shirt, in my case it would be this great plaid from J-Crew and pair it with a crisp pencil skirt. The key to professionalizing this look is to keep the silhouette as sleek as possible. Tuck it in to create a cleaner, more buttoned up look. Play up the shirts colors in you accessories to tie the look together. P.S. For the real detail oriented professionista, match the metal in your jewelry to the hardware on your bag.
